Andrea Wallick

Andrea Wallick has been studying cello since she was 7 years old, becoming a student of Tanya Remenikova at age 10. She has since won 2nd place in the junior division of Thursday Musical in 2018, and was a finalist in Schubert Club competition in 2018 and 2019. Her chamber music trio, Trio Luminoso, won first place in the junior division of the Saint Paul Conservatory Youth Chamber Music Competition in 2018, and third place in the senior division in 2019, and won first place in the Mantova International Chamber Music Competition in Mantova, Italy and performed in Mantua, Italy. She was accepted into GTCYS Symphony Orchestra, its top professional-level orchestra, at age 13, and toured Europe with the orchestra in 2018. She was accepted into the University of Minnesota School of Music in at age 15, and has since been accepted into the University Symphony Orchestra. She has been asked to perform for many weddings and to accompany high school choirs. She has attended master classes with French cellist Sebastien Hurtaud, Ruth Marshall, and several others. She continues to study with Tanya Remenikova, with Charles Asch as her coach for college auditions, and she continues to play with Trio Luminoso and teaches music lessons at Cyprus School of Music and the Arts.
